When it comes to choosing the perfect wedding dress, you need to consider your own tastes and preferences. Whether you’re having a beach wedding or plan on saying your vowels in a winter wonderland, your dress should fit you AND the occasion! You should also learn about different fits and determine which type of dress will look flattering on you.
Buying the perfect wedding dress can be a really fun experience, just as long as you know what you’re looking for. The spotlight will be mostly on you at the wedding, so wearing the wrong dress will be embarrassing. If you have no ideas on what to wear, just know that you’re not alone. Many brides are going through the same thing right now, so there is a wealth of information available about choosing the right wedding dress.
The Wedding Date and Season
One way to narrow down your selection is to consider the season of your wedding. If it’s going to be held during winter months, you don’t want to buy a sleeveless dress. If it’s going to be in summer, you don’t want to buy long sleeves. For a beach wedding, keep it simple. You won’t need to wear a bunch of layers and ruffles at the beach! Also, think about the train length. A long one might be good for indoors, but not outdoors.

An LDS wedding is structured differently than a traditional wedding. First, the couple is sealed in the temple. The sacredness of the sealing is only attended by close family and friends. Afterwards, however, the couple is entitled to a reception in which members of the ward may be invited. There are several considerations when choosing an LDS wedding reception hall.
The first consideration is the number of people attending. Finding a wedding hall that can accommodate 40 close family and friends may be easier than finding one that can seat 300-400 attendees. Decide who is important for the bride and groom to invite and how many people they can afford to invite. Stay within a budget.
Reception halls are usually chosen on the basis of people attending. There are a wide variety of wedding halls to choose from so it’s important to pick a venue that reflects the style and personality of the married couple. Some venues hold up to sixty people while others can house several hundred guests. Be sure to include people that are special to the couple’s life and not people they merely want gifts from. The couple should also decide how much money they can afford to spend and stay within those numbers.

If you are a bride-to-be and want to have a lot of fun before you tie the knot with your girls, then host a bridal shower.
The bride is the star of the show, so what kind of shower and where it is held should be geared toward her likes and dislikes. A favorite restaurant is a great place to have a shower and if the restaurant has a party room- that’s even better. Call at least two months in advance to book the restaurant, and then get those invitations out as soon as possible.
For the beach lover, by the sea if everyone is located by the beach, if not a beach themed shower at someone’s house could be just as much fun. A local coffee house is also an unexpectedly great place to host, for the outdoorsy type a park for a picnic themed shower would be a great surprise. There are other great venues to host; usually available in every town.
If you want to keep the guests on their toes and provide some fun for them, then there’s no better way to do it then some fun and exciting bridal shower games. There are games that are made specifically for this event. Make sure you get prizes to give out to the winners like lovely spa products for the home.

Toasts are usually given at the wedding reception. There are many kinds of toasts. There are toasts from the groom to the bride, from the bride to the groom. From the best man to the groom, from the groom to the best man, from the maid of honor to the bride, from the father to the bride, and so on. Toasts are fun. They’re the best part of the wedding for some people.
Let me level with you. It can be tough to give a toast. Some people just wing it, and give a toast off the top of their heads. But most people are far too conscientious to take such a flippant attitude toward this responsibility. Most want to do a good job. Well, I don’t have any good long toasts for you in this article, but I do have some funny lines you could work in.
Here are some funny thoughts:
1. To marriage . . . a word that means commitment . . . to an insane asylum.
2. Getting married for the fringe benefits is like buying a shirt for one of the buttons.

There has been a long tradition of fathers walking their daughters down the aisle and handing them over to their future husband. The tradition is meant to symbolize a father handing over his greatest gift into the care of another man who will respect and love her. However, that tradition is starting to become outdated as women are marrying at an older age, families often have a father and a stepfather, or a father who has passed away.
Today, there are new traditions that are being established. They take into consideration changing family dynamics and a desire for the bride and groom to establish themselves as individuals. No matter who the bride decides to have walk her down the aisle at her wedding ceremony, she is the only one who has to be happy with her decision. The following are a few of the new traditions of wedding walk etiquette.
